Having troubles trying to figure out how to get around this site? This is where it's all broken down for you...
Main Forum Pretty self explanatory. Think about what it is you wanna post (whether its a poem, song, story, screenplay, or random topic) and take a look at whatever category it falls under. If you don't know where to post then there is a whole other thread for that, just click the LINK The ShoutMix chat box is simple to use also. Just type in whatever Alias/Name you want to go by and chat away. If you find that there is no replies coming through, it could be just freezing up. Click Refresh and the problem should be resolved. However, the box usually refreshes on its own, as if it were an actual chat room. You can use this feature to post quick announcement to the forum or quick random conversation *Another quick side note about the main forum. You will notice that in each board, if there are sub-boards, they are listed on the main page. I did that to make it easier to know where everything is. It also make the look of the site more professional. They are also links so you click on them and end up in that sub-board. |
Profile Now there are a number of changes made to the profile here. Most things you will find is like a normal ProBoards Forum. The new items however I will give a brief explanation of so that you would know how to use it: Profile Image: Now most people seem to think this would be their avatar, but its not. There's still an area for that in your profile. This should be another picture of you or whomever that you would want the members to see upon looking at your profile. It will be located at the bottom of the profile. Try and have a big (not HUGE) down there for the appeal so that everyone can see you. If you look at my profile you will see what I mean Avatar Size: This you won't be able to see neither will you know unless you read this. Notice how my avatar is bigger than the usual avatars. Well, that's simply because I've increased the width to 150. I just felt that 100 was too small...looked kinda funny and you couldn't really see what it was, or not very clearly for the matter. So if you want your avatar to be as big as mine, extend your dimensions to 150, regardless of what the instructions tell you. |
Posting Not much difference in the posting department aside from the description area which you are told how to use in the rules and regulations of each board. I would just say that if you have any questions on how to use the TAGS just submit them in the Support Board section of the forum. I or any of the staff will get back to you as soon as possible |
